Detailed Itinerary

DAY 01Arrival in Leh (Acclimatization)

Upon arrival at Leh Airport (11,000 ft), you will be received by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Since you are arriving at high altitude, we strongly recommend taking complete rest and drinking plenty of water today to get acclimatized. Do not indulge in strenuous activity. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 02Leh Local Sightseeing - Sham Valley

After breakfast, drive along the Indus River to Sangam (confluence of Zanskar & Indus rivers). En route, visit the Hall of Fame (Kargil War Museum), Magnetic Hill (where cars appear to roll uphill), and Gurdwara Pathar Sahib. Later, visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace before exploring the local market. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 03Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

Drive 140km (5-6 hrs) crossing Khardung La (5,359 m), one of the world's highest motorable roads. Arrive in Nubra Valley and enjoy an ATV ride (direct payment) or visit Diskit Monastery. In the evening, visit Hunder sand dunes to spot the double-humped Bactrian camels. Overnight stay in Nubra.

DAY 04Nubra to Turtuk Excursion

Morning drive to Turtuk (180km roundtrip), a unique Balti village near the Line of Control. Explore the village culture and the scenic Shayok Valley. Return to Hunder by evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra.

DAY 05Nubra to Pangong Lake

Leave after breakfast for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft) via Agham & Shyok villages (165km, 5-6 hrs). Enjoy the breathtaking view of the high-altitude saltwater lake, famous for its changing colors. Overnight at a camp or hotel near the lake. (Note: If Shyok road is closed, travel will be via Warila/Changla with extra cost).

DAY 06Pangong to Leh via Changla

Wake up early to watch the mesmerizing sunrise at the lake. After breakfast, drive back to Leh via Changla Pass (5,486 m). You may stop at Thiksey Monastery on the way. Evening is free to explore the Leh market. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.

DAY 07Departure from Leh

Early breakfast, then transfer to Leh airport for your onward flight to Delhi with sweet memories of Ladakh.
